Rocking the Sporting Achievements again!
We have had some amazing sporting opportunities again. Last Friday we participated in a Football Tournament at Richard Hale School. Our team of 7 children did amazingly well as they played in nine matches – we did not have any subs; they still managed to come third out of nine teams. This week, our little team of Year 2 gymnasts went to the County finals, having won gold medals in the Hertford and Ware competition. They were up against nine teams this time and got the silver medals. An outstanding achievement for them and for Tewin Cowper. Yesterday, we sent two Year 5/6 teams to Hertford Rugby Club for a Tag Rugby Tournament. Although there were no winners or losers in this tournament, our teams played brilliantly and showed good sportsmanship.
A big shoutout to our teachers yesterday. With lots of encouragement from their pupils to ‘keep moving’ they had their step counters on. At the end of the day, Miss Mileham was the one who clocked up the most, much to the delight of Chestnut Tree Class who have a ‘Golden Time’ reward today.
As I write, the school hall is buzzing; we have a sports coach in who has set up a gym circuit, with each class having a time to workout. The children have donated £1 to attend school in their gym kits / red clothing as our participation in Sports Relief Day; we have made the brilliant sum of £145.70 to send to Sports Relief.
Having thoroughly worn everyone out, we hope you have a wonderful weekend, maybe slightly more restful than usual!

HAVE A BROWSE If you have a few moments to spare, please take a look at our lovely hall displays on the theme of ‘Creation’. There is also a display book in the foyer of Oak Tree Class homework designing ‘Generositrees’ which links in with our value of Generosity. They created some beautiful, thoughtful artwork.
